My Last Rodeo - Peyton - 7-17-13 10:07 PM

I will be retiring at the conclusion of the CSFL season.

I've tried retiring twice before, but always felt hesitant due to the uncertainty of the future of the American Football Mod without me at the helm. This time, however, I feel confident with what the future has in store for AFM regardless of what some may have to say. Both June and May of 2013 have shown an increase of players and playing time compared to June and May of 2012. I could go on about the positives, but there is another time for that. Keep in mind that the main focus is the PUB server. The PUG server is and always has been on the players. It will go as long as the players take it.

In the meantime, I will seek out someone or a select few people and provide them with all the necessary knowledge that they will need in order to run this community. Rest assure, I'm going to assist this person or persons to the best of my ability.

This September will mark my 6th year of playing American Football Mod. It has been a fun, competitive and time consuming 6 years. I have no intentions of returning, but that's always the case when such a decision is made. I'm going to be putting all the energy that I have left into CSFL 2 and I hope that everyone can do their part to make it fun and competitive.

I expected a retirement message from the title but I opened the post and didn't see any broadcasted insults toward the community. I think you're retiring incorrectly.

I think the community still needs you (inb4 dickriding) but I hope everything works out. Good luck in CSFL.

Nah, 1 more tourny after I stomp you in the league baby.

Damn. It was too fun in Gb to see you leave, not only did I get to play with you when I was hitting a peak for me, but I wanted to shoot your tourny win streak down. Sad to see you leave the mod but hey, 6 years is a long time I can see that the time was bound to come. I would be VERY ok if I was able to end your career with you in csfl2. GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE you will truly be missed by the community.

I nominate chrispy, connery, and clarity as the future leaders of the mod. This way we can have a showdown every week to see who's the shittiest.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports, Peyton "Marbles" Manning has announced his retirement in preseason and will officially retire at the conclusion of the season. The news of his retirement is not of surprise as Manning suffered a devastating neck injury in previous years and has had to have multiple surgeries on the troublesome neck; rather, the timing of the news may be one to debate for ages. Perhaps, this is Manning's calling to his team to inspire and get him that one last championship he so desires.

One of the most controversial quarterbacks, Manning has been at the discussion of illegal substances, such as HGH and other performing enhancing drugs, throughout his later career. Manning, known for his Hitler style approach to on-field antics and inability to throw deep, cross-body throws, will be looking to end his career with a championship. Will this be the last we see of a cerebral Manning or will he be just another Favre. Well, Trey Wingo, we will just have to wait and see.

Chris "Boomer" Berman reports that Ryan "1/2 of sharprock" Craig is rumored to replace the irreplaceable Manning. If this rumor is true, Craig will have some tough shoes to fill. We wish Manning the best of luck in the upcoming season and note that we should appreciate a legend when we see one. "He could.. go.. all.. the.. way!"

In other news, Steven "Asshole" Smith has confirmed with Chris "Dumbfuck" Broussard that LeBron "King" James will indeed go down in the history books as the greatest player of our generation.

[camera flip to Craig]
"THIS JUST IN: Georgio "Hyouj Chin" Kwok is full of shit!"

"One moment Karen."

[Craig then holds index finger upward toward the camera, places right fingers to ear as if an agent in The Matrix]
I am now getting flooded with reports indicating that this information that I've reported is not new at all. People have gone as far to say that this information is like watching re-runs of Seinfeld episodes.

In other news...
Me. Replace Manning. Ahhahahaha.

You niggas don't know shit. Manning has not reached out to me about replacing him at all and I wouldn't be able to do it anyway if he did. I've got 2-3 more semesters left in college. I'm also in the process of getting a new job and possibly relocating when I finish school.

Some of you may have felt like Manning was a Hitler to the league when he started cracking down on obvious issues within the community. For all of you niggas that saw Manning in this light, I'd make his bitch ass look like Gandhi by the time I was through with you if running this league.

Mwahahahahaha
