1 of 11 Football - extremetroy - 3-11-15 4:30 PM Hello everyone, let me first say that I have played this mod in pub games in the past and I had a fun time doing so. I've always kept you guys in mind and, honestly, I'm surprised to find that this mod is still going considering the age of CS and the age of this mod. Good job guys. Now, I don't want to come off as a sales person, since I assume we are all on the same team and are wanting desperately an alternative to Madden, and I know you guys love the multiplayer approach. So, I just want to tell you guys about 1 of 11 Football. It is a game I have been developing for over a year that is built with 11 on 11 multiplayer in mind. I could go off on a spiel about all the features, but I have the main stuff covered pretty well elsewhere. I tell you this because, not only am I making the game for me, but I am making it for people like you who embrace the concept of multiplayer football. You can learn more about it on 1of11football.com or our Kickstarter and get a taste of it by watching our teaser trailer on youtube. You can also check us out on Steam Greenlight. If you want to see this game come to fruition, please help spread the word to your friends. Also, feel free to ask me any questions. Thanks. Here is the snippet: Anything can sound bad if said with a negative connotation. Allow me to use Team Fortress 2 as an example. Who would want to play medic? After all, all you do is follow someone else around, just holding down a mouse button healing them while they get to have all the fun. The answer: Many people take pride in playing medic in TF2 and protecting their teammates. In the same way, there will be people who take pride in protecting their QB's blind side or being able to push the pile. Since 1 of 11 Football is a very realistic football simulation, games will be won and lost at the line of scrimmage, just like actual football. To addon to this, the way lineman mechanics works is that it takes on a "rock/paper/scissors" mentality. For example, this move counters this move and so on. This makes the player have to think and anticipate what the person across from him is going to try to do. RE: 1 of 11 Football - Death - 3-11-15 6:04 PM Seems really fun but the trailer got me wondering how the game looks because the trailer looks like a little skit not a full game. RE: 1 of 11 Football - Eakin - 3-11-15 8:48 PM You should hav it where people change spot in the game so they are not blockers the whole time RE: 1 of 11 Football - Peyton - 3-11-15 9:44 PM This thread will not be deleted. RE: 1 of 11 Football - buttfumble - 3-11-15 10:26 PM First person multiplayer football honestly would be a gold mine if done correctly. Good luck dude I'm sure a lot of time and effort will have to be given to this game for it to succeed and I hope to be playing it one day. To solve the problem of Player / Position assignment I developed a Position Preferences System. This essentially works as first come, first serve (this is the only fair way to go about it). A player can change their position preferences at any point during gameplay. However, while in the huddle, the Offensive/Defensive Captain (he is the one who calls the plays) can manually assign a player to a position, overriding the Position Preferences System. RE: 1 of 11 Football - Eakin - 3-12-15 8:21 AM Captain picks favorites obv But if it 1st come then people won't join when a lot is in the game / server and another thing if they have to be a linemen on o you should make it where they pick there spot on d before others |
