Idea for Version 7 - blood - 2-4-13 8:42 AM I remember a while back (before 7.0 came out) I gave an idea to add a win/loss system. I feel if it's possible to do it would make pugging more competitive and would also would give more meaning to the effort each player puts into each pug. With the player rating it's hard to compare with other players who can rack up 18k plays within a month. Although with a win/loss system you can compare with a much easier ratio. - WhooKid - 2-4-13 1:29 PM standings have been considered but where never included because it would influence team stacking. this would work well in the pug but it involve alot of work to make top level changes to the stats system now as I would have to rework everyone from the basic code, game logs, website stats and more. - hyoujin - 2-4-13 1:38 PM you wanted a comparison because you couldn't do the math? i'll do it for you to show you that even with my 18k plays my td/int ratio scales better than yours. the link shows comparison of craig, you, and i. plays per td or int means how many plays it takes you to make a td or int (less is better). i would compile your qb stats but since you're not even among the top qbs in the server i can't see your stats. oh and if you want you can compare someone you think is "better" than you and see how they match up to you - Grogglez - 2-4-13 2:04 PM It's okay, hyena plays in the pug server [12]too much[/12]... we know. - blood - 2-4-13 2:17 PM It was just a suggestion I used for players who might care about their individual stats in pugs.. Hyoujin if you want to compare the stats that matter I can pull my tournament stats and compare them to yours. That being said I honestly don't care about individual stats in pugs because at the end of the day Wins are all that matter. - hyoujin - 2-4-13 2:26 PM my non existent tournament stats? hopefully you find em. only been playing 3 months lover <3 oh and don't ever try to call me out again without backing it up =X - blood - 2-4-13 2:30 PM Sorry I didn't make a chart maybe I will next time. - Peyton - 2-4-13 3:10 PM I like the plays per touchdown and plays per interception stat. Since blood's idea requires too much work, then maybe WhooKid can make a comparison command. For example /compare player1 player2. It would then compare each players stats and provide unique stats like plays per touchdown. Blood's initial idea is good, but WhooKid stated that it will require a lot of work. Keep brainstorming and maybe he'll find your next idea to be more manageable. - blood - 2-4-13 4:52 PM I understand that it requires a lot of work. Although, the comparison between players isn't the main reason I want to system. Hyoujin just got upset cause I called him out on 18k plays. The main reason I want to the system is for people to have more reason to try in pugs. As for an example, If there was a way to log wins/losses you can created a ladder on the website as you do the stats and a formula made for a rating. I don't know what is possible and what isn't so I'm just throwing stuff out there. - hyoujin - 2-4-13 5:37 PM i'm not upset but you have been flaming it for the past week. the win/loss wouldn't really make players "try" more in pugs as more often than not the game lies in the hands of the quarterback.. i think the lack of players contributing on the field is a result of poor quarterback play, players unwilling to deal with a "new" quarterback, and blow out games which all kind of relate. i think the compare idea is good.. i think to take that even further you should be able to break down how many plays a player has as a receiver/db, as a rusher, as a qb, etc. and be able to track down who the most efficient rusher, qb, etc. at each position (might be difficult) currently the number of plays is a total of everything and therefore the # of plays per TD/INT would be skewed depending on if you QB or not (if you qb the # of plays still tally on while your TD/INT [unless you're covering] as a receiver would remain at 0) |
