holy shit cookie. I feel like I'm explaining how to play zone defense to milkman. before you spew your idiotic rambling before you think take some time to understand my examples. TOTAL POINTS SCORED AGAINST VS POINT DIFFERENTIAL IS THE SAME THING IN THE EXAMPLES

- smoked - 8-8-13 9:44 AM

1. if Peyton is doing scores against as the determining factor solely between the two teams, score against and score differential is the same.

2. if Peyton is doing scores against in total of all games for both teams, they are different.

hyoujin is saying the first, I am agreeing with both as score differential is the option in both.

it doesn't matter if he's looking at total games

the seeding is ranked in a way that makes you guys worried because there are 3 teams w the same record

once we play out of division that won't be the case anymore

once that happens - by the end of week 6 there will only be 2 teams tied IF any because you have a division winner from each division plus a wildcard.. the wildcard will clearly be the 4th seed and seeds 1-3 will be from record.. if 2 teams are tied then you look at the matchup which is smoked scenario 1 listed above

cookie wow. you can't have that scenario. do you not understand? if youre comparing two teams give me an example of where point differential and points against doesn't give you the same result of who is the conclusive winner

YOU ARE COMPARING TOTAL GAMES

I am telling you that you will only need to compare GAMES BETWEEN THE TIED TEAMS

since arod and craig still have some confusion on this i'll attempt to clear it up again:

you only play against each team ONCE other than the team in your division

that means that for example - if Peyton's team and Anderson's team have the exact same record at the end of week 6 - Peyton's team will have the higher seed because they won the head to head matchup in week 2

IF there is a tie WITHIN the division - for example WKB's and Chrispy's team end up with the same record after week 6 and they also happen to win 1 game against each other then:

the team with the "total lowest points against" OR the team with the "higher point differential" WITHIN their own matchups (2 games) will move on - these two stats will give you the same conclusion of the team that moves on
