Pug Rules - slice231 - 6-8-14 7:31 AM

I was wondering if the current Pug Rules Threads can be modified.

- Freezes are fine. When an admin is going to pause for their team and doesn't tell and the other team usually uses up their boost then the admin pauses right after = not fine

- IDK how people feel about this, first come first picked. To be fair a lot of pub players trying to get into the pug-scene and they come first but don't really get picked at all

- Doesn't state about the 40+ point end rule

- Could be a stated rule, the winning captain can choose to captain up again or not without question

Agree with your first rule 100%.

When I captain up in the pug, and that kind of scenario is in-front of me, I always try to get at-least 1 inexperienced/pub but good enough to pug type guy on my team, but 80 percent of the captains just don't give a shit about getting a pub guy involved into the pug scene, its not their responsibility to farm talent for the future, its their responsibility to win a pug, and half the captains who play need all of the help they can get and realize that picking this new guy is worst case scenario complete dead weight and best case scenario contributes WAY less then an established guy who JUST joined 6 seconds ago, so its not "first come first serve" its, "whos the biggest name here and who will help me win this game", it's a shame because theres tons of pub guys who just need some pug reps to blossom, but what can you do about it? nothing really unfortunately.

agree, the 40 pt rule is more like a pug code thing instead of its up there in the rules, wouldn't hurt to add it.

I think this kind of happens already, the winning captain isn't in a contract to captain up again and never has been, it's always been frowned upon for a losing captain to take again when theres other good qbs in the server, THAT would be an okay addition.

i noticed when freezes happens 2x in a row (pause, then resume 2x) the bot becomes "lazy", idk the right term to call this action but for one play they don't act normally like they usually would (rushing/blocking all out) semi-stagnant.

I feel you coach about picking those who are established in the pug-scene, and then picking new pug'ers. I remember when u picked me a couple of times to get me in the scene back then (^_^) New pug'ers would be more headache for the qb (not running the right route and stuff). I guess that would be strike for that rule.

Also umm should there be a rule when it's "justified" when a admin "should" freeze? I notice a lot of arguments starts when a admin freezes a game because a side has a afk but then the afk isn't really afk he's just slow lol (in the games i play in)

I'm guessing your talking about what happen today when I stopped the game 2 times the bots were slower but after that play the bots were fine but the reason for it was because one of our players was typing for like the 1st five-six seconds of the play so I thought was afk then when he stop typing I started it and hiked the ball and 4t was not their for like four seconds and I had a chance to bomb it for a easy Td but paused and kc flipped saying not to ever pause for his team and he was going to get my admin taken away
