Post-Retirement Role + Official's Successors

I just wanted to clear a few things up.

I will in-fact be retiring at the conclusion of the CSFL2 Championship Game. I have no intentions of returning to play full-time in the future. I may come on every once in a WhooKid while, but it is ultimately time to move on.

While I'm moving on from playing the game, which I've played competitively for 6 whole years now, I will be putting forth some of my spare time towards creating new maps and models. I may even make some changes to the mod itself. However, any significant changes would have to come from WhooKid himself, but then again he is fully enjoying his retirement as he deserves it.

I have appointed three people to take over: Boo, Shanks and Yeti.

Boo is very soft-spoken, which makes him a poor fit to run the community by himself, but it's also what makes him the most admired player and an easy choice to be one of the three head admins. I knew he would be a great player and a great admin from the first week I met him and in the end, he is the most similar to me in terms of being an unbiased admin.

Shanks has been one of the more revered players in the mod since he started back in 2009 - he is the commish, enough said. While he's got less time on his hands than in times past, he'll still be around to share his 2 cents with Boo and Yeti as he has done so with me over the past year.

Yeti and I have had our fair share of differences in the past so I've obviously put a lot of thought into making this decision. He is what some of you have expressed as an "unpopular" choice, but I'll explain why it's the right choice. While he may talk a lot of smack, I believe it'll simmer down once he settles in. He has been around AFM nearly as long as I have. He has far more experience with game server management than me and anybody else in our community. He's ran his own servers in the past: he knows the mod, he knows the players, he knows what benefits the mod and he knows how to keep the mod prospering. Yeti is the epitome of the gameplay and players of this game - he is American Football Mod: his rise and fall as a player, his smack talk, his rage, his laugh (no homo, his competitive nature and his mischievous‎ antics - it's what we've all participated in, experienced and enjoy while playing this great mod.

Thanks for the kind words Peyton. I'll expand on my response after my hangover clears. As for my haters I think most are upset they can't/couldn't play us off each other anymore. Also me and dop know you will be back maybe not full time but you'll be reaching for another ring like a one armed Olympian before you know it. It's been fun and a great aggravation going against you all these years yet I still do believe if we could have made peace sooner this mod would be larger. Whookid, You and Myself are the holy trinity of AFM and I doubt that will ever be changed.
