I drop by every year or so to just check up on the game that gave me so much joy, fun, and intense competitive spirit back when I was still a wee high schooler lol. It all started with a couple guys and Whookid dickin around, late nights throwing a dodgeball in a tiny football field (rf_football, becoming friends with the regulars, and eventually forming [$] back in '07. And now, I come back to see a still surviving and constantly evolving game with such a vibrant community. You guys probably know this already, but BIG BIG ups to Peyton for still maintaining this and trying hard to come up with new ideas just so that you guys could have more fun and stay with the game. He has been holding the fort down for YEARS. Peyton, the nigga who was my biggest rival (the internet blood was so real, is now someone I am mad thankful for, love to just catch up with, and someone to respect.

Although a shitton of factors have changed (and improved!, such as a PUG server, weird kickoff meter, ball speed, maps, etc, after playing for a brief moment today, I still see remnants of the old school community that I realize will always exist. The dirty mouthed, trash talking, filthy scummy fuckers; the prepubescent kids who should stay away from the mic for another 5 years; the neverending music spammer; the quiet ass mute who NEVER says anything but is still mysteriously really good; the mexicans; the fucker scrub teams that think they can beat [$]... smh (LOL jk yall would probably whack us now, etc, everybody is still there in some shape, way, or form.

I don't even know where I'm going with this post, but I was just feeling hella nostalgic and happy that yall are still going strong. KEEP CSFB ALIVE! It is up to you niggas to carry the torch so that you can lure in future baddies to thrash, and hopefully find a diamond in the rough you can mentor and then recruit onto your team.

Anyways, I've been hearing about this upcoming tournament nonstop. I'M CURIOUS WHO THE NEW UP AND COMING TEAM IS. So fucking practice and dominate the tourney. I heard everyone but GB is garbocan... and GB was always bad... so y'all must be terrible. LOL jokes. Couldn't resist throwing one old school liner in there Although real talk, I'd say the real butt of the jokes back in the day was [^] if anyone remembers that shit. Then [eZ] or something like that, but apparently they got alright after? Not sure.

I've been playing for a bit now, sometimes hear about your name in passing, cool to see you check in unlike the other old-timers, you should pug sometime and fuck around and get a feel for the new mod and how it feels in a pug setting-- I'll agree with your part about this mod's longevity being impressive, the players come and go but touchdowns and interceptions are always made differently & don't care what your name is, it's what keeps it fun and evolving instead of stale and repetitive.

My AMA question is, why does Peyton Manning have a wet ramen noodle for an arm?

It's unfortunate really. Peyton in real life is quite the phenom when it comes to pitching the baseball, so I guess God had to be fair and curse him with the wettest of ramen noodles when it comes to CSFB qb'ing. I swear it's a conspiracy though, because he somehow still makes it to the top 5 QB rankings all the time... Owner of server + Noodliest of noodles + Consistent high QB rating..? COINCIDENCE I THINK NOT.


Also on a sidenote, I wouldn't be surprised if Peyton was the first guy to be called a noodle arm. It's funny how the whole "noodle arm" got even started. I know the phrase has been around for a while, but the first time it became a thing was when Whookid started implementing the field goal addon, and people just had completely no idea how to use it properly at first. You would see some of the puniest kicks (because kicks also had a different trajectory that made it drop much faster once it reached its peak velocity as opposed to floating like passes, and one guy started apologizing for his "noodle leg." For some reason, we found that phrase hilarious. After that, whenever any QB not named Whookid threw a pussy pass, me and [$] would call them a noodle arm. And the biggest target of our trash talk was usually Peyton, so go figure.

Lastly, go google "noodle arm," and the only real life comparison that the phrase has been used for is Peyton Manning. Such a tragedy. He never had a chance.

It's always nice when an old timer comes back to explore the changes. I appreciate the kind words. Thankfully, these past few months I have been able to construct a good group of guys that make up the AFM staff. They helped take some of the load off of me and I am confident that they will continue to keep the mod prosperous.

I enjoy the comedic insults you still bombard me with. Takes me back to the day when we had our forum feuds, which me and WhooKid spent some time resurrecting from the old bloodservers website and incorporating into these forums. Also for the record, this noodle arm was the only to win a match with and against [$]. Go to your post history and read how upset you were when you lost to yours truly.
