For people Who do not have a previous tab version when right clicking on properties in your half-life folder, the next fix would be restoring your computer to a day prior to the issue. If not, message me and i will gladly send you the half-life folder to resolve the issue.

To FIX CS 1.6 Reinstall HalfLife

Go to library in Steam

Click install on Half-Life

The main problem that prevents CS from loading is the missing resource folder. In Windows 7, you can right click on the Half-Life folder and go to restore previous versions. Copy the resource folder from the older backup. To play the maps copy the events, gfx, maps, models, overviews, sound, and sprite folders from older backups as well. Also, copy any .wad files in the main cstrike folder.
