The latest version has been in production for a while now and its nearly time to start public testing.
Peyton has done a good job of finding all the game breaking bugs and tweaks but once its public, he will not always be around to document them.
I am asking that if you encounter any new glitches or know of any existing please post here so they can be corrected.
The more detail of the problem, the better and possibly a demo would be best if its a more uncommon problem.
Thanks for everyones support.

I may also entertain any ideas for improvements/tweaks to the current version.
Keep in mind that we are still in the early stages and some additions will take time to adjust to.

If you notice any bug, small or big, then please describe it and when it occurs so it can be fixed. Use this opportunity to help make the mod more efficient.

If you do choose to post a suggestion, make sure it is reasonable and then argue the case for it. WhooKid can make anything happen, but it just has to be worth making.

Yesterday I froze the game and I believe the server crashed when I unpaused at the exact same time a new player joined a team. Not sure if that helps or not but I'm pretty sure that's what triggered the server crash. I hope that helps.

This server crash happened yesterday at some point. This would probably be another good addition if you could add these server logs to be publicly available on americanfootballmod.com/puglogs or something. Thanks in advance and for keeping this mod alive. /donesuckingyourcock.com

Server crash issue that I described just happened moments ago with the same scenario as described above.

Yeah lmfao...was about to post the same thing. It has to do with freeze and someone joining. I'm not sure of the exact problem.

k thanks guys, ill look into the crash.

no one probably remembers but at one point the game logs were available for public download via a url from the server but the inner workings werent very efficient and caused problems so it was removed.
since then there are better ways of doing this but it is a larger project and im not sure how often it will be used.
ill play around and see.

Here's my enhancement list that I can think of for now, I'll likely add more later.

AFKS:
I have a few solutions:
1. kill and move to spec after 'x' minutes
2. /revive respawns the person in the stands and not in the endzone.
3. create /afk <name> command. moves player to spec and revives them in the stands. 'what if someone abuses it as admin'... just take their admin away. The current method of /team <name> spec, /revive <name>, unfreeze, run to endzone, lob ball in air, forcefully bump revived spec out of bounds, and freeze game while ball is in the air is too much.

Kicking:
1. Lessen the kicking time. Allow the kick to happen on the first bar loading. Whether it is a kickoff or extra point, the kicking team should not be penalized by giving the opponents time to react. Awareness is a big part of the game.
2. The rusher should not have his movement restricted on field goals. Fake field goals (although not so abused) really fuck up defensive alignment. Especially if using during TD drive when people have used their boost already (not so much of an issue with the PAT if the rusher switches off). I could really start getting into scenarios but this should be self-explanatory.

Game Pauses:
Lessen the interval which the game pauses on 'end of quarters' and '1 minute warnings'. I know others that hate sitting still during these intervals feel the same way. y00na is one of them. Grogglez probably falls in here too because he can't sit still for a flat second if his life depended on it. Others likely feel the same way too. Not a big deal, but still something that should addressed IMO and it's an easy fix too.

Bot Alignment:
I don't know how many realize this but the bot alignment is different. They're closer together and the only way to get between them is if you're planning on rubbing dicks with Jeff Saturday while begging Reggie White for a reach around. This affects my ability to quickly setup for my rush, pre-snap. I don't know how other QB rushers feel about this but I had 11 sacks in last tourney and next person closest to me had 3. Don't fuck with the injector's strength please.

I'll follow-up on this with more enhancements but right now dop is begging me to write a post for him. bbl

ive made a few of the changes youve outlined. Peyton has brought a few of these up before, mainly the kick clock and ive redone this function.

i reduced the 1 min warning from 10 secs to 5 and ive reduced the quarter reset by 1 aswell.

i also unfroze the rusher on field goals. the reason the defense is frozen is so they dont have the chance to stand on others heads and make block field goals easy. i moved the rusher back aswell so we will see how it works out.

the bot alignment is kind of needed. when i originally added bots everything was intended for 2 bots per team and we actually used 2 bots for a while. with this there were 2 bots rushing and they each spawned 5 yards off on center on either side on the rusher. when the 1 bot was removed the remaining bot still spawned off center. with the reworking of field goals the offensive bot now attempts to block the rushing bot but when he spawns off center, the rushing bot blows past the blocker everytime. they both need to be center aligned.

I feel when the mod goes public, when its 1v1 in early mornings once people learn how to kick it to themselves short and onside i feel like it will be very difficult for the receiver to react while in the previous mod it was a lob onside so it could be handled.

minor glitch / error

today in a pug at 4:45pm eastern (just in case you wanted to see the log):

at every kickoff the whistle would blow once when the kicker selected the power of the kick then another whistle when the ball was a touchback or the player that caught the ball.

this is kind of distracting as many players use the whistle as a reference to when the play is over - not sure if this was a one time glitch but it happened during every kickoff of that pug
