I have a decent knowledge of route trees, but don't know how to apply all of them in AFM terms.

My movement skills aren't really that great, and I was curious how you guys improved. Just looking for tips

That morning kc voice. Legendario. This is definitely the best way to learn how to bhop and gstrafe/double duck in my opinion. Makes you learn the timing in 600 gravity opposed to practicing bhoping in the kz server on 800 gravity. Even doing this for 20 minutes makes me feel like im going so much faster.

Thanks for the tips. I'm trying to improve, and up until recently the community wasn't very open to helping newer players, so I definitely appreciate it.

Certain people definitely aren't, certain people definitely are. Gotta find the right group.

The best players I've played with were the ones who knew where they were relative to where the opposing team is.

You can have the greatest mechanics in the mod, but if you're just using them to get into a crowded zone quicker then anyone else or using them to get into a high risk low reward throwing window then your not really helping your QB, your just moving fast.

I can't talk about how to bunnyhop better or how to ass catch or head people, because I'm god awful at all of those things. But I can tell you that if you watch the best wrs in the game you'll realize that even if they unbinded jump, they would still get a lot of passes thrown their way because they know how to make an open throwing lane. Take Blaze for example. Guy had like 3 routes and could still get like 9+ catches a game while being the least hoppy one in the game, while kc on the other hand is probably the most mechanically gifted but doesn't just win matchups off of sheer speed, he GETS open.

Bottom line:

1. You won't improve if you don't grind as often as you can vs better players
2. Roll with your quarterbacks feet, but know when a crossbody throw is available
3. Start playing to get into the open parts of the field, not the congested ones
4. Don't be a cancer to your QBs
5. Uhhhhhh

So what routes, as far as afm goes, are considered good? You can't (I can't atleast) read coverages in AFM to determine routes, because most defense players just always line up wherever they're comfortable.

Offense is sort of easier to me, because you can get pretty lucky sometimes, but I struggle mostly on defense. I have a tough time staying close to some one in man coverage without having to try and guess their route and potentially blow the whole coverage.

Common:

Out routes
In routes
comeback routes (if playing outside)
fake comeback
fake out posts
cross field
fake in out
fake out in
