I've been playing Second Life football for about 3 years. If you don't know what that is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai4TbOn7WSM I was the top player over there for quite some time and would like to learn a bit more about CS football.

As you can see in the video, I'm used to 3rd person and a rather different ball trajectory. It's going to take me some getting used to, but I think I can be pretty decent. If anyone has any kinds of tips for me, any MUST KNOWS for CS football, it would all be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking your time and reading this. Hopefully we can get some game time in.

This specific mod is a lot faster pace than the video you showed, as well as the community being to what some would call an acquired taste. However I have played AFM since 2009 and though it is small in comparison to stand alone games and mods within more up to date games this one is by far the most fun sports game I have ever played and is extremely competitive with tournaments and leagues. The Counter-Strike 1.6 AFM SHOULD @Peyton be transitioning to CS:GO soon where it will bring a much larger player base and a much more competitive scene.

Some tips I would give is mainly focused one dealing with the community, people talk shit and it gets competitive. People will have opinions about certain things and certain players. I personally will tell you to not listen to anyone and form a judgement about people and mindsets from what you see yourself and not what people tell you.

Tips about the game is it's basically like back yard football, not everything is meant to be exactly like real football and that is what makes it fun. Take your time and don't get frustrated as the counter-strike mechanics (Strafing, bhopping) are difficult to master alone much less implement them into a mod within the game.

You just need to have fun how you can, I am not going to sugar coat anything, people will get on your nerves and probably insult you for being new, so many people have dealt with this and have become good players in the community. Just have fun and play the game how you want to within the rules of the mod.

Appreciate the feedback man! These are all things I've dealt with in many games. Most games with smaller communities tend to have these exact issues. Shouldn't be a problem for me. I'm not a big talker. If people feel the need to talk, so be it. Haha.
