I think its around that time of the year where Manning Academy opens up to the general public. With the fresh talent that has entered its way into the AFM community i think its time somebody took it into their hands to direct these young ones in the right direction.

With all the people saying the mod is dying, this is the perfect opportunity by boosting the IQ and skill of the new players and to have people continue playing at a higher level. Now im not saying manning has to do this himself as he has lost the touch himself, im just saying somebody will have to step up and take action by doing something to help improve the American Football Mod.

Manning, feel free to open up your Everest College for AFM and take a few young ones underneath your wing. Doesnt only have to be Manning either, some of you higher ups could also do a big brother program and teach somebody who needs the advice.

This could be advertised quite well with balanced teachings in many aspects of the mod. Things such as broken bumps and flawed haircuts. From quarterbacking and Wide Receiving to Defending and rushing.

The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

People think I'm mad when I pug, but it's not that at all. I'm simply annoyed because people make the same mistakes over and over again and it's really frustrating because the talent is there.

When the ball is snapped, people run around without purpose like a bunch of sheep. Playing receiver is like a chess match. You have to see how the defender is playing you before the snap and when you are running your route. You must make adjustments accordingly to execute your route. If a guy is pressing you, that doesn't mean that you can't run an in or out route. It just means that you have to get him to backoff by attempting to get behind him in order to put yourself in position to run that desired route, whether it's an in or an out.

I can safely say that I'm a better receiver than 90% of people that play this game. Not because of my ball skills, but because of my routes and knowing what to do when the defender is playing me a certain way. I find it very satisfying when I catch or score a touchdown after executing my desired route because I know that I beat the defender and the zone. In most situations, running around without purpose or catching a jump ball is meaningless in terms of skill, which is why players like BeaN never develop into good players.

I try to teach people whenever I PUG, whether they are new or not new. The problem is that people don't retain anything or refuse to learn by not putting forth any effort or listening. I know when people do buy in and listen then they get better. It's a very simple game that is a lot like real football in terms of route running. At the end of the day, it all starts with good routes because that results in separation, which leads to more targets, more catches and more opportunities to get better.

If you want to get better, just ask me what you can do and I'll tell you the basics. When you mess up, I won't get annoyed with you because you're putting forth the effort to learn.

"I can safely say that I'm a better receiver than 90% of people that play this game." -Peyton

Definition of delusion- a rigid system of beliefs with which a person is preoccupied and to which the person firmly holds, despite the logical absurdity of the beliefs and a lack of supporting evidence.

You guys derail threads faster than Minneapolis gets a new cigarette to smoke after his last one.

I know some of it has been sort of done in the past in basic form but I would assist if whoever wants to be a "teacher" in making quick video lessons. Whether it just be videos of the route or technique discussed, video with voice over, whatever.
